Performance Days
At the Performance Days from October 4-5, 2023, in Munich/Germany, the focus will be not only on sustainable functional textiles and accessories, but also for the first time on functional materials for footwear. Here, the spotlight will be on sustainable performance fabrics, soles and leather. To support the integration of the footwear market into the trade show events in Munich, Portland, New York and Shanghai, organizers have brought on board 2 renowned industry specialists, Nina Conrad and Rucky Zambrano. Conrad has been a sustainability consultant in the textile and leather industry for many years, specializing in traceable and local supply chains. Her core business is the production of leather and leather goods that come from animals raised on certified organic farms. She is also a founding partner of the Sustainable Leather Foundation and co-founder of Fibershed's DACH subsidiary. As an industrial designer, Zambrano is well versed in the industry. He is currently responsible for the footwear of Finnish children's outdoor brand Reima.
