Tape and webbing for technical application areas

Güth & Wolf

Despite the strong competition, Güth & Wolf GmbH, Gütersloh/Germany, produces all its tapes and belts exclusively in Germany.

The complete range of products is manufactured, covering all textile production steps, from twisting and warping and other preparatory work, weaving, braiding, knitting and warp knitting, and further processing like dyeing, finishing and printing and finally making-up including customizing. More than 1 million m of tape and webbing are produced every day from all common cellulosic and synthetic fibers in widths from 3-600 mm. Among them are consumer goods such as home textiles (curtain and pleating tapes), trouser cuff and hanger tapes for apparel industry as well as bias binding and haberdashery. The technical area includes articles for industrial safety and protective equipment, lifting and lashing tapes for load securing systems, equipment for military and civil authorities, composites and automotive products. Curing tapes for vulcanization are also produced.  Tapes for many other applications, e.g. sport and medical apparatus, handles and fasteners for bags and suitcases, also belong to the delivery program.
Technical high-performance fibers, e.g. m-aramid, p-aramid, Dyneema, Vectran and Kynol are of great importance for future textile applications. For composite applications, glass, carbon and basalt fibers are mainly used. Especially innovative is the work with renewable resources. Further innovations are specifically constructed tapes that are perfectly suited to meet high technical demands on features like elongation at strength, heat-resistance, burning behavior, resistance to chemicals and oil or conductibility.
