Intelligent Innovations for protective clothing

New generations of materials in hi-vis colors enlarge the special range of fabrics. Aramid fabrics (Nomex) in hi-vis yellow are available as well as modacrylic/cotton-fabrics (Prota) in hi-vis orange, each meeting the usual norms, especially the EN 20471. Furthermore, regarding the aspect of sustainability a low-priced flame-retardant fabric made of recycled polyester has been created, which was especially conceptualized for the rescue services. Extreme reflecting  fabrics patterned in jacquard technology, with high breathability and washable up to 60°C, are a novelty especially for more visibility in road traffic in the darkness; these fabrics can be produced in all colors, as well as in hi-vis. For the liners of protective clothing, a very interesting range of multi-functional knits made of aramids or modacrylic/cotton is offered. Still in preparation for introduction onto the market, is a protective fabric applicable for welding, made from an interesting material mix, which is suitable for leasing as well as for fire-brigades and industrial applications, with high UV und alkali-stability.
