Partnership with Korean automotive supplier
The supplier of integrated technology solutions for textile and flexible materials, Lectra SA, Paris/France, has entered into a partnership with Dual Co., Ltd., Seoul/South Korea, a provider of automotive components including vehicle seating, car mats and airbags. The global agreement covers the Korean automotive supplier’s fabric seating and airbag businesses.
A key feature of the agreement is Lectra’s commitment to help Dual optimize its manufacturing processes with the aim of improving its cost structure. Lectra’s most advanced technologies – Vector for vehicle seating and FocusQuantum for airbags – and the company’s expertise in cutting room processes are crucial to helping Dual reach its operational objectives.
The agreement designates Lectra as the sole supplier for high-ply cutting equipment and services for Dual’s seating and interiors business, and laser cutting equipment and services for the company’s airbag cushion business at 6 plants located in Korea and China. Lectra provides full customer support.
